Zenigatas Misserfolge haben so seine Spuren hinterlassen; dieser Polizeichef zweifelt zwar nicht daran, dass Zenigata das Schlupfloch von Arsène Lupin auffindet, glaubt aber nicht so recht daran, dass er ihn wirklich fassen kann. In diesem Fall kann er Zenigata auch nicht wirklich unterstützen, denn weil Lupin und seine Bande einen Roboter stahl, der dem Militär gehörte, ist dies auch eine Angelegenheit des Militärs.
