Im Jahre 370 v. Chr. ist China in sieben befeindete Nationen und mehrere kleine Stämme unterteilt. Um die Vorherrschaft zu erlangen, beschließt die brutale Nation Zhao das benachbarte Yan zu erobern. Die kleine unabhängige Stadt Liang ist der Yan Nation strategisch gut vorgelagert, daher befiehlt der Zhao- Befehlshaber Xiang Yan-zhong diese Stadt zuerst einzunehmen. Doch der König von Liang holt externe Hilfe. Er wendet sich an Ge Li (Andy Lau), einen umherziehenden Mozi-Krieger, die bekannt für ihre außerordentlichen Verteidigungskennt-nisse und ihre psychologische Kriegsführung sind. Ge Li weist die Bürger Liangs in die Kunst der Verteidigung ein und in einem furiosen Kampf gelingt es ihnen, die Besatzer in die Flucht zu schlagen. Doch nun fürchtet der undankbare König um seine Macht und vertreibt den Mozi-Krieger. Da kehrt Xiang Yan-zhong mit seinen besten Kriegern nach Liang zurück und schreit nach Rache …
